Funny aside...I've been watching the show Clean House on the Style network. I've become obsessed by their purging and organizing. Now, my house is no where NEAR as cluttered as most I've seen, however it is still pretty bad. Acting on impulse, I took a picture of my basement and sent it off to the show. About 2 days later, I received an email requesting I make an "audition DVD" and send it to them. Showing my three worst rooms, the front entrance and all inhabitants.

I'm actually a little excited (and a LOT embarassed) at getting a "call back".

Now to get my ass in gear making the DVD. IF I make it on and IF you see me, try to be nice when you see my mess LOL

Peanut got a coupon from his teacher yesterday.

A free Kid's Meal, Oreo milkshake or dessert!

He got it for reading 44 books this year! One of only THREE in his class to get the coupon.

He was SO proud of himself and rightfully so! Somedays, that reading log was incredibly hard to do, but, he did it (and I will admit, we totally blew it off in the last two weeks). It helps that he had to do his stretches for his feet and we used that time to read. It also helps that *I* would read at the same time, so there was little to no TV distraction.

Anyway, because he was so excited, I told him that if he went to the chiropractor with me, we would go to Applebee's afterward (because I had to hit the community center to sign him up for Summer Playground Camp).

We had a wonderful "date" and a great server. Jacob is ALWAYS well behaved and a gentlemen, and our server was so good, that Jacob begged me to give her "a really good tip"! He had one "faux pas" moment where he did a total "guy move" when we got out of the booth, but I quietly admonished him that we don't "adjust" ourselves in public and off we went.

While dining, we worked out a do-able summer schedule/plan. What times he will get up and what he will do (i.e., Juice Plus+, feeding cats, cleaning his room, etc.). Let's hope it works all summer!

All-in-all, an enjoyable evening.

FOR TODAY (03 June 2009)
Outside My Window... no window from here
I am thinking... about a lot of crap...sleeping, finishing the basement, moving stuff in Peanut's room, sleeping...
I am thankful for...my family and friends
From the learning rooms...life
From the kitchen...I want applesauce
I am wearing...brown and green hospital scrubs
I am creating... a huge freakin mess in my house
I am going...to bed soon (I hope!)
I am reading...the Somnambulist
I am hoping... that I can get everything done that I want to get done by 01 JUL
I am hearing...nothing much, got cotton in my ears
Around the house...messes in every room
One of my favourite things...stationery
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
Thursday - work then more basement
Friday - work, then theater at Peanut's school, then more basement
Saturday - L's graduation party!
Sunday - probably more basement, although, I try to keep Sundays as rest days
Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

AAAAHHHHH!

oooh, look! A chicken!

Seriously, I'm having THE WORST time concentrating on anything right now.

Too much to do at work...I can't even follow my own thought processes! I get started on one project, and then BOOM I have a great idea for another and by the time I get to the other project, I forgot what the hell I was going to do!

Too much to do at home...I can't focus on one project/item/process. I roam from room to room doing little shit here and little shit there, or I start in one room, have to run to another room for something else and get sidetracked there...

It's BAD!

I have SO much shit to do and SO much swirling around in my head. I latch on to a thought and somehow, it jumps tracks and whips me where I had no intention of going...and I can't even figure out how I got there...

Is it seriously possible to develop ADD as an adult?

This is maddening!

I keep hoping that if I get my HOUSE in order, my work crap will follow suit...it's not working.

And I'm USUALLY a very organized person at work. Not so much at home (mostly because there are other people there to touch and mess up my systems).

And I've become more and more anal about organization, that nothing gets organized. "Look, it makes sense to do it this way." "ooh! but look, if I break this one down into these categories, it will make it easier to manage." "oh, and get this, if I cross reference these categories, with this room, I'll have it all in one place, but seperate too!"

I think I need help...I'm so unfocused FLYLADY can't even help me right now! There just isn't enough time to do everything.

I may have to give up my 10-hour days at work to have more time to get shit done at home...that way, I can maybe re-focus again...

I'd say, I need a vacation, just to get stuff done at home, but that never works either. Of course, I've never really HAD a vacation at home...more like a day off here, a day off there...and usually, those are for sick days or some other stupid shit.

Time to lob a grenade and walk away...

Since your accomplishments are seldom noticed,
and you are rarely thought of, you are expendable.
That doesn't mean your job isn't important but if you
were in Star Trek you would be killed off in the first
episode you appeared in.

Stolen from Nizzy!

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool... (It will compromise the divination :-) )
7. When you're finished tag some other people to do it!
